I had wanted to breast feed so badly, but had a hard time getting both myself and my son into the swing of things. I started using a Medela double pump electric breast pump, but found myself trapped on the pump, with both hands supporting the suction shields, my breasts and the weight of the heavy bottles filling with breast milk. It reeked havoc on my Carpal Tunnel's.
Browsing on Amazon.com one night, I found a "hands free" bra by Easy Expression. This bar comes in a halter or a tube top. It is super form fitting and looks a bit bizarre, as the nipple area is cut out of the bra. The cut out is so that the shields will stick against your breasts, creating a seal to prevent leaking. It is also to allow the rest of the pump to come through the other side. This allows you to have your hands free while pumping and saves your hands and wrists any pain.

I can now read, write, make art, work on the computer and even hold my baby when pumping, where previously I was stuck looking at the television or worse...the clock.
The Easy Expression Hands Free Bra is 92% cotton and 8% lycra, so it does have some stretch, but not a lot. When ordering one I recommend reviewing the size chart provided by the company. I would also encourage my large breasted sisters to avoid the tube top. The halter stays firmly in place, and has a thick halter neck strap, which provided great support. I could just see the tube top falling down with the weight of my milk filled double D's.
The Easy Expression Hands Free Bra is usually priced between twenty and thirty dollars, before shipping. I was lucky enough to find it on Ebay from a wholesaler for fourteen dollars and three dollars shipping. It arrived within two days.
It is machine washable and is made in the United States. I highly recommend this bra for any multi-tasking mom who is actively pumping. I found it to be convenient, comfy, and more affordable than a hands free breast pump, which run over $300!
